H2 Green Steel – CHRO
H2 Green Steel (H2GS) was founded in 2020, is headquartered in Stockholm and has the ambition to accelerate the decarbonization of the European steel industry, one of the largest carbon dioxide emitters, using Green Hydrogen. The founder and largest shareholder is Vargas, who is also co-founder and one of the larger shareholders in Northvolt.
H2GS being in a male dominant industry had a wish to create an equal management team from the beginning. EQ Executive Search was commissioned to find a senior leader who could quickly put a high performing HR function in place to support the extremely rapid expansion and hyper-growth of the group. As part of the senior management team the CHRO was an important stakeholder in setting H2 Green Steels culture and company values. The new role had to put HR processes and organizations in place, starting from scratch, and overseeing talent and performance management, compensation & benefit and employer branding, in a scale-up phase of the company. H2GS was in need of a strong leader with the right mindset and experience from scale up and international expansion. The employment of the new CHRO resulted in the appointment of other positions crucial to sustain the continuous expansion of H2GS.

LENEO, (co owned by SEB), is a nordic fintech company in scale-up phase with the aim of delivering financial technology and services to businesses offering Product-as-a-Service. LENEO’s mission is to support companies in the transformation to introduce new circular business models that give their end customers added value and enable the end customers to go from ownership to usership.
